Krieger's work calls for justice and love. Her performances are layered, rhythmic and emotional. Zaire Krieger is an original and important voice in the Dutch spoken word world.
Syrinx | Sam de Laat identifies himself as a maker. In addition to being the front person of the Dutch-language music group Droom Dit (Popronde 2023, Noorderslag 2024, Best Kept Secret 2024), Sam is also involved in video art, dance, graphic work and spoken word. Everything Sam makes is completely autobiographical. Sam therefore does not like to make very metaphorical work and prefers to show his stories in a more unfiltered and raw, yet poetic way.
Ischa den Blanken, on the other hand, prefers to surround herself with the metaphorical. Ischa is a writer, thinker, speaker and, as a creator, is a member of Productiehuis BRUT. In his work, he investigates which facets of his life are just outside the language. His poetic-philosophical poems are thoroughly personal, but also full of questions, ambiguities, visual language and paradoxes. Ischa collaborates with a number of makers from various disciplines and is building an oeuvre that spans multiple media.
Together, Ischa and Sam dive into the many faces of Desire. They speak and sing about what is no longer or is not yet, about what they have to accept that they may never own. About what remains just out of reach, about missing hunger and lust and hoping. They're building an altar of language, synths, beats, and sound for everything they still want and have ever desired; raw, unfiltered, and shamelessly metaphorical.
